Are you ready for the kick-in?
The Kick-In, the start of your student days at the University of Twente. In 10 days you will see everything Enschede has to offer! This is of course the most fun in an AEGEE do-group. So take a quick look to see if we also have a do-group for your study!
As student association AEGEE, we also organize a great program full of activities. Like every year, we hold the largest pub quiz in Enschede, where you and your do-group can win great prizes! This year we also have fun activities in and around our pavilion. Of course we also have our own open parties! In short, you won’t miss a thing!
DO-Groups
You always spend the Kick-In with your do-group, which consists of about 10 first-year students who will follow the same study program as you! Do-groups are led by do-group parents and AEGEE also has do-groups during the Kick-In.
This provides 10 days of fun and your do-group may well stay together for the rest of your student days. AEGEE is happy to help you with our do-groups to make an unforgettable (student) time for you!

AEGEE-Enschede is the open student association of Enschede and that means no initiation! Like other associations, AEGEE has year clubs, fraternities and societies where you make friends for life. You can also develop yourself by doing committees or even a board year.
Of course it doesn’t stop there. Every Tuesday and Thursday members come to our own pub Sociëteit Asterion on the ground floor of the Pakkerij. This is the ideal place to hold drinks, parties and activities with members and friends!
AEGEE also offers you the option to discover the rest of the Netherlands and Europe! AEGEE does not stop in Enschede, but also has 9 other student cities in the Netherlands. In addition, there are 140 other cities in Europe where you can find AEGEE. This gives you the opportunity to get to know other cultures easily and cheaply!

In your first year you have the chance to form a year club. A year club tends to consist of 5 to 15 members of the same year cohort. You come up with a name, logo, cheers and form your own identity within the association. With your year club you eat together, join activities or organize them yourself.
Within AEGEE-Enschede we have six different disputen. These are vertical ties of groups of members who form a club together and take in new members every year. Five of our disputen are gender-divided, one is mixed. AEGEE-Enschede does not haze to become a member, disputen do have a compulsory introduction time.
AEGEE-Enschede has many different committees who keep the association running. These are excellent opportunities for self-development. We have committees that organize great activities like the Dies (latin for birthday) committee, the Batavieren Race Committee. We also have committees that do more supportive work, such as the Computer Operating Team and our Promo Team.
On the ground floor of the Pakkerij you can find our pub where our lovely golden yellow Grolsch beer streams elegantly our of our pipes. Here the members of AEGEE-Enschede come together on tuesdays and thursdays, to enjoy each other’s company. also, here many legendary parties are organized by and for the members of AEGEE.
Frequently asked questions
To become a member at AEGEE-Enschede you can fill in our registration form. You can register throughout the entire year! During the HAIP you can see if AEGEE suits you, before you decide to sign up.
The contribution is only €80,- a year. For your contribution you can take part in all activities that AEGEE organises and you’re always welcome at our pub Asterion for a drink!

Gedurende het jaar houdt AEGEE rekening met de tentamenweken en zal geen activiteiten in deze periodes plannen. Hierdoor kun jij alleen of samen met jaarclubgenoten je maximaal focussen op je studie, om daarna te genieten van het natentamenfeest!

Of course! From 17 years of age you can join AEGEE. However, you will not be allowed to consume alcohol at our pub Asterion.
A student association, and AEGEE-Enschede par excellence, offers enrichment during and outside your study time!
In addition to making new and good friends, you can participate in many activities or come to the pub to relax. A student association can also provide you with a study buddy and you can develop yourself through committee work in areas that your study does not give you!
