Student association AEGEE-Enschede will also put out an amazing programme during this introduction period. This year the largest activity of the Kick-In, the
pubquiz, will be in-person again! Join us on Saturday August 28 and take a chance at great prizes!

Program
Do-groups
During the Kick-In, every study has its own do-groups. A do-group is a group of 7-10 firstyears students with whom you’ll experience the Kick-In, and possibly even share your entire student times. AEGEE has do-groups in many different studies. Join an AEGEE do-group and we will guarantee that you’ll have an unforgettable Kick-In! About AEGEE
AEGEE-Enschede is the open student association in Enschede. This means that the association doesn’t have any hazing, and you can become a member at any moment! With our year clubs, sororities and fraternities you will make friends for life. You can also develop your skills in one of our committees or even a board year. Every Tuesday and Thursday our members meet in our own pub Asterion, on the ground floor of the Pakkerij, to have a drink together. Are you interested in a new adventure, come have a look at our association!
After the Kick-In there is more time to get to know the association. This is during the HAIP, the After Intro Programme. More information about that can be found on
this page . You can sign up for the HAIP without any obligations, that way you’ll be informed of the upcoming activities and you can always come around to our pub.
In your first year you get the opportunity to form a year club. A year club consists of 5 to 15 people who joined AEGEE in the same year. You make a name, logo, cheers and your own identity within the association. With your year club, you eat together, join activities or you organise activities yourself.
Within AEGEE-Enschede we have several fraternities and sororities. These are vertical connections, meaning that the group consists of people who have joined AEGEE in several different years. This is a group of people that have a special bond and identity within the association. In contrast to the association, these fraternities and sororities do have hazing.
AEGEE-Enschede needs different committees to keep the ball rolling. There are committees that organise a fun activities, such as the Dies Natalis committee or the batavieren race committee. But there are also committees that perform behind-the-scene tasks such as the PromoTeam and the Computer Operating Team.
On the ground floor of the Pakkerij we have our own pub, where you will be met with the beautiful Grolsch beers. Members of AEGEE-Enschede meet at Tuesdays and Thursdays to enjoy each others’ company. There are also parties organised on the regular by the members of AEGEE.

FAQ
The general Kick-In takes place between the August 25th and September 2nd. Monday August 30th to Wednesday September 1st are reserved for your study programme introduction.
During the Kick-In AEGEE has its own programme, next to the general programme of the Kick-In. Of course we offer the AEGEE Pubquiz, but on the other days we also organise fun activities and drinks. Make sure to follow our socials to be notified on what activities will be taking place! Furthermore, the best way to experience all of AEGEE during the Kick-In is to join one of our do-groups.
You can become a member of AEGEE-Enschede by filling out this sign-up form. You can sign up during the entire year! That means that you can also join the HAIP to see if AEGEE is something for you, before deciding if you want to become a member or not.
Nope! With AEGEE you can sign up during the entire year, because we are always open for everyone. However, after the HAIP, the year club trajectory starts, where you can form a year club together with other first year members. If you want to join a year club, it is best to sign up before the end of the HAIP.
No, AEGEE-Enschede is an open student association, which means that we do not have a hazing, and that you can become a member any time during the year. In order to get to know the association better, we do have the HAIP. Have a look on the page to see if you want to join us in those activities!
You pay a yearly fee of €60,-.
Of course! You can become a member if you are 17 and older, you are only not allowed to drink alcohol at our own pub Asterion.
The HAIP is the After Intro Programme of AEGEE. This means five weeks of fun activities to get to know the association better, but of course mainly to have fun. During the HAIP you’ll meet a lot of people from outside your own study, people who just started studying but also people that have been around for longer.
If you join the HAIP, there are no obligations and everything is aimed at having the best time together. If you have any questions, or if you are interested in participating, sign up here!
Within AEGEE-Enschede study always goes first. Getting good grades is of course also part of having an awesome study time. During the exams you’ll find AEGEE people all around the campus to study together. When all the exams are over, there’s always a great party to celebrate the end of the week!
With AEGEE you yourself can determine how active you will be, and how much time you put into it. After the HAIP you can form a year club and join a fraternity. You can also join one of the many committees to stay active besides your studies.
The most important thing is that you get a positive BSA, with which we are glad to help you! During the year, AEGEE plans around the exam periods, so there are no activities when you have to study hard. That way you can focus on your studies to enjoy the after-exam parties afterwards!
A study association is connected to a particular study programme and will therefore organise activities related to your study programme. This is a place where you can meet others from your study programme. AEGEE is a student association, which means that we focus more on activities next to your studies. Within a student association people from all studies are welcome, so AEGEE is the perfect place to meet people from outside your faculty!
Yes, they do! AEGEE has its own pub in the Pakkerij, called Asterion, right in the middle of the city centre. The perfect place to meet!
The Pakkerij is a student building in the city centre, located at the Oude Markt. The four biggest student associations of Enschede all have their own pub here, and so do we! You can find our pub Asterion on the ground floor.
A student association, and AEGEE in particular, will enrich your student years. You get in touch with people from all directions of study, experience the best activities and make friends for life!
